Business To Business, Dras, 25th July, 2026: The Goa Tourism Department has launched the 'Ekadasha Teertha Yatra', a three-day pilgrimage circuit connecting 11 prominent temples across the state, as part of its "Goa Beyond Beaches" initiative to promote spiritual tourism.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the pilgrimage circuit at the Shree Mahaganapati Temple in Khandola, North Goa, on Friday. The event was attended by Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte, Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Chairman Kedar J. Naik, and other officials.
The Department of Tourism, in association with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), also flagged off two dedicated buses that will operate along the pilgrimage route, making it easier for devotees and tourists to visit the temples.
The initiative aims to diversify Goa's tourism offerings by showcasing the state's rich spiritual and cultural heritage while encouraging visitors to explore destinations beyond its beaches. Officials said the pilgrimage circuit is expected to boost religious tourism and enhance the overall travel experience for pilgrims and tourists alike.
