Govt steps up LPG supply, urges calm amid Hormuz concerns
Business To Business, New Delhi, 05 April 2026: The government has increased sales of 5-kg LPG cylinders (called FTL cylinders).
About 6.6 lakh cylinders have been sold since March 23, with 90,000+ sold on April 4 alone.
FTL (Free Trade LPG) cylinders:
- Smaller size: 5 kg
- Sold at market price (no subsidy)
- Available over-the-counter at LPG distributors
