India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail: PM Modi

Business Aajkal, NEW DELHI, 12 May 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's stance against "nuclear blackmail" during a speech on Monday, emphasizing that military operations against Pakistan have been temporarily halted and will depend on future behaviour.
In his first address to the nation following Operation Sindoor, Modi explained that India considered stopping the offensive only after Pakistan promised to cease its misadventures, despite Islamabad's pleas to halt the military action.
He also condemned the attack in Pahalgam as the most "barbaric face of terrorism," describing it as a personal pain. Modi remarked that the enemy has now realized the repercussions of removing "sindoor" from the foreheads of Indian women, symbolizing respect and cultural identity.
