J&K: 'Op Sheruwali' enters day 7 in Rajouri, another anti-terrorist operation launched in Poonch

Business To Business, Jammu, 29th May, 2026:    Security forces on Friday continued “Operation Sheruwali” for the seventh consecutive day in Rajouri district to track down two to three suspected Pakistani terrorists believed to be hiding in forested areas, officials said.
According to officials, forces used heavy firepower while targeting specific suspected militant hideouts in the Dorimal–Gambhir Moghla belt of the Manjakote area, where the ultras were reportedly shifting positions through difficult terrain, valleys, and gorges.
Meanwhile, another anti-terror search operation was launched in the Surankote region of Poonch district after intelligence inputs suggested suspicious militant movement in the area.
Joint teams of police and security personnel carried out a cordon-and-search operation following reports about the possible presence of two to three individuals suspected to be terrorists, officials added.
Security operations against infiltration and militant activity have intensified in parts of Jammu and Kashmir amid continuing concerns over cross-border terrorism.
