Business To Business, Kolkata, 30th May, 2026: Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday held discussions with Suvendu Adhikari on strengthening cooperation between the Centre and West Bengal and accelerating development in the urban infrastructure and power sectors.
The meeting took place in New Town, where Khattar also launched the Swachha App alongside Adhikari and Agnimitra Paul.
The Swachha App is designed to improve civic services through citizen participation. Residents can use the platform to report instances of littering or sanitation-related issues in public spaces, enabling civic authorities to respond and undertake cleaning operations promptly.
Following the meeting, Khattar said in a social media post that he held detailed discussions with the chief minister, the state minister, and senior officials on matters related to the power, housing, and urban affairs sectors.
The discussions focused on enhancing Centre-state coordination, improving urban infrastructure, strengthening public service delivery, and advancing development projects in key sectors. The launch of the app is part of broader efforts to use technology to improve urban governance and civic amenities.
