Maoist carrying Rs 10 lakh reward among three rebels surrender in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum

Business To Business Ranchi, 07 August, 2026:    A zonal committee member of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist), carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh, and two women Maoist cadres surrendered before security forces in West Singhbhum district on Friday, according to police.
The surrendered cadres include:

  • Saluka Kayam, who carried a Rs 10 lakh reward.
  • Kodomuni Koda, who had a Rs 1 lakh bounty.
  • Another woman Maoist cadre, whose identity was not disclosed.
A police officer said the surrenders followed continuous anti-Maoist operations carried out by the police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and other security forces in the forests of Saranda and Kolhan.
According to the officer, sustained security operations in the region contributed to the decision of the Maoist cadres to surrender.
