Modi, Macron view artworks of French artists who attended art residency in Jaipur

Business To Business, New Delhi, 14th June, 2026:    During his visit to France for the G7 Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron viewed artworks created by two French artists whose work was inspired by Indian culture and aesthetics.
The two leaders met Thibault De La Lance and Theophile de Bascher, who participated in an art residency in Jaipur.
According to Randhir Jaiswal, the artists visited India for the first time and drew inspiration from the country's rich artistic traditions, cultural heritage, and aesthetic motifs. They incorporated these influences into their creations, producing works that symbolize the cultural exchange and growing artistic ties between India and France.
The interaction highlighted the broader cultural dimension of India-France relations, which extend beyond strategic, economic, and defense cooperation to include people-to-people exchanges, art, education, and cultural collaboration.
The artworks showcased how creative exchanges can foster mutual understanding and reflect the blending of artistic traditions from the two countries, reinforcing the longstanding partnership between India and France.
