Murmu to present Padma awards on June 23
Business To Business, New Delhi, 8th June, 2026: President Droupadi Murmu will present the remaining Padma Awards 2026 recipients during the second phase of the civil investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 23, according to officials.
Prominent Awardees
Among those expected to receive the honour are:
- Mammootty
- R. Madhavan
- Satish Shah (posthumously, to be received by family members)
The Padma Awards are among India's highest civilian honours and recognize distinguished contributions in fields such as art, literature, education, public affairs, science, medicine, social work, sports, and civil service.

- 2 Padma Vibhushans
- 6 Padma Bhushans

The remaining awardees will be honoured during the June 23 ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Padma Awards consist of three categories:
- Padma Vibhushan – for exceptional and distinguished service.
- Padma Bhushan – for distinguished service of a high order.
- Padma Shri – for distinguished service in any field.
