Business To Business, New Delhi, 03 July 2025: A study conducted by AIIMS-Delhi in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has concluded that there is no link between COVID-19 vaccination and sudden cardiac arrests among young individuals.
During a press conference, a panel of doctors from AIIMS stated that the ongoing research has examined 300 cases of sudden death, primarily involving people under 40. While all these individuals had received COVID-19 vaccines, preliminary findings indicate that other health and lifestyle factors were more likely to be responsible for the cardiac events.
Dr. S Narang, a cardiologist at AIIMS-Delhi, emphasized, "There is no conclusive evidence that the COVID-19 vaccine is causing sudden cardiac arrests. In fact, vaccines have proven to be more beneficial by reducing the severity of infections and associated complications."
