No partnership better positioned than US-India for emerging tech: Ambassador Gor

Business To Business, New Delhi, 29th May, 2026:    Sergio Gor on Friday said that no bilateral partnership is better positioned than that between India and the United States to capitalise on emerging opportunities, especially in high technology and critical minerals.
Speaking at an event, Gor noted that only “one per cent” of issues remain unresolved in efforts to finalise the proposed India-US trade agreement.
The envoy also said the US is actively recalibrating its export control policies to align with evolving technological and geopolitical realities, while balancing national security considerations with the need to support trade, innovation, and commercial cooperation.
Highlighting the growing strategic partnership between the two countries, Gor pointed to major opportunities for deeper collaboration in areas such as:

  • artificial intelligence,
  • trade and investment,
  • critical and emerging technologies,
  • pharmaceuticals,
  • and research and innovation.
India-US ties have expanded significantly in recent years across defence, technology, energy, supply chains, and economic cooperation.
