Business Aajkal, NEW DELHI, 12 May 2025: In his first address to the nation following Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a firm warning to Pakistan, stating that India will not tolerate nuclear blackmail. He underscored that terror and trade, terror and talks cannot coexist, sending a strong message to the international community.
Modi described Operation Sindoor as India's new approach to combating terrorism, noting that military actions against Pakistan have been temporarily paused ("kept in abeyance") and will depend on Islamabad's future behaviour.
He also issued a direct warning to Pakistan's leadership, cautioning that the terrorists nurtured within its borders could ultimately threaten its own stability: "The terrorists they have been feeding and nurturing all these years will swallow Pakistan itself. If Pakistan wants to survive, it will have to root out terrorism."
