Pakistan will never recover from shock of Operation Sindoor: Bengal guv

Business To Business, Kolkata, 05th July, 2026:    West Bengal Governor R. N. Ravi on Sunday said Pakistan would never recover from the impact of Operation Sindoor and asserted that India is more secure today than at any time since Independence.
Addressing the Devrishi Narad Jayanti and Narad Samman 2026 programme at Sisir Mancha in Kolkata, the Governor said the country's approach to national security has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, replacing what he described as an earlier defensive posture with a more assertive response to security challenges.
Referring to Operation Sindoor, Ravi claimed that its impact would have long-term consequences for Pakistan and underscored the government's resolve to safeguard the country's sovereignty and security.
Speaking on West Bengal, the Governor said the state had witnessed a "new dawn" after remaining in darkness for a prolonged period. He expressed confidence that West Bengal's development would play a pivotal role in India's overall progress, noting that the state's economic and social advancement is essential for achieving national growth.
Ravi also highlighted the importance of strengthening national unity, security and development, saying that India's emergence as a stronger and more confident nation has been driven by decisive leadership and a renewed focus on safeguarding national interests.
His remarks came during the Devrishi Narad Jayanti and Narad Samman 2026 event, where he addressed issues relating to national security, governance and the role of West Bengal in India's development trajectory.
