Business To Business, Gwalior, 21st June, 2026: Droupadi Murmu arrived at Kuno National Park on Sunday afternoon, officials said, after participating in International Day of Yoga celebrations earlier in the day.
Kuno National Park is the focal point of India's ambitious cheetah reintroduction programme, which aims to establish a viable population of the species in the country.
Earlier, Murmu led the state-level International Day of Yoga event in Jabalpur, where she performed yoga exercises alongside Mangubhai Patel, Mohan Yadav, and thousands of participants.
Following the event, the President traveled to Gwalior, arriving at the Maharajpura Air Force Station along with Governor Mangubhai Patel.
At the airport, she was received by Tulsiram Silawat, who represented Chief Minister Mohan Yadav during the welcome ceremony.
The visit to Kuno National Park underscores the importance of the cheetah conservation initiative, which has become one of India's most prominent wildlife restoration projects. During her visit, the President is expected to review aspects of the programme and related conservation efforts.
