Protests against NEET continues in Chennai

Business To Business, Chennai, 24th July, 2026:   Protests against the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) continued on Friday, with hundreds of students participating in demonstrations demanding the scrapping of the national-level medical entrance examination and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
A round-the-clock sit-in at Balan Illam, which began on a small scale, gathered momentum over the past few days, drawing more than 500 participants, including students, activists and members of the film fraternity.
According to a source in the All India Students' Federation (AISF), the protest entered its fifth consecutive day on Friday at the Communist Party of India (CPI) state headquarters.
The demonstrators are seeking the cancellation of NEET, alleging irregularities in the examination process, and demanding accountability, including the resignation of the Union education minister and stringent action against those responsible for the alleged paper leak.
