Rajasthan on alert after missile strikes in Pakistan, state leaders hail 'Operation Sindoor'

Business Aajkal, Jaipur, 07 May 2025: Following India's "Operation Sindoor" missile strikes targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, Rajasthan's political leaders have expressed strong support for the military action.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma returned from Gujarat on Wednesday morning and immediately chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the state's preparedness. He issued directives to tighten security across Rajasthan, especially in border areas, and instructed the cancellation of police personnel leaves to ensure their presence at headquarters. The Chief Minister emphasized full-proof security measures and coordination with district officials to maintain law and order.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot welcomed the operation, stating that it dealt a severe blow to terrorism by destroying Pakistani terrorist bases. He expressed solidarity with the Indian Army and the Government of India, highlighting that the Congress Party and the entire nation stand united in support of the action.
In response to the heightened security situation, Rajasthan has been placed on high alert. Mock drills have been conducted, schools in border districts have been closed, and flights from Jaipur have been cancelled as precautionary measures. The state government is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with central security agencies to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
This unified response from Rajasthan's political leadership underscores the state's commitment to national security and support for the Indian Armed Forces in their efforts to combat terrorism.
