Business To Business, Lucknow, 27th June, 2026: The general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, and trustee Anil Mishra have resigned from their respective posts, the Trust announced on Saturday amid allegations relating to donations received at the Ram Temple.
In a statement, the Trust's treasurer, Govind Dev Giri, said the Trust has received the resignations of Rai and Mishra and will take a decision on accepting them at its next meeting.
Giri said the trustees were "shocked" by the developments and stressed that the Trust was committed to ensuring a fair inquiry into the allegations.
He added that the Trust considered it its duty to facilitate an impartial investigation and take all necessary steps to restore the faith and confidence of devotees.
The announcement comes amid an ongoing investigation into allegations concerning the handling of donations at the Ram Temple, with authorities continuing to examine the matter. The Trust has maintained that the inquiry will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
