Business To Business, New Delhi, 29th June, 2026: The Vishva Hindu Parishad on Monday said the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust itself has been advocating for a fair investigation into the alleged embezzlement of donations received at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The RSS affiliate claimed that the Trust conducted an internal inquiry into the allegations and subsequently sought the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter.
Defending senior Trust functionaries Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, the VHP said both leaders voluntarily resigned from their positions to ensure that the investigation could proceed impartially.
The organisation further asserted that the first FIR in the case was lodged by the Trust itself after the SIT submitted its preliminary findings.
The VHP also criticised opposition leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that unlike Rai and Mishra, they did not step down from public office despite facing corruption-related allegations.
The allegations regarding the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram temple remain under investigation.
