Business To Business, Mumbai, 26th June, 2026: Harshvardhan Sapkal on Friday demanded a Supreme Court-monitored investigation into the alleged embezzlement of donations received at the Ram Temple, accusing the BJP and the RSS of protecting those allegedly responsible.
Addressing reporters, Sapkal claimed that during the course of the investigation, Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra resigned from their positions, but alleged that no criminal case had been registered against them.
He further alleged that only employees involved in counting donations and a driver associated with Champat Rai had been arrested, while those he described as the "main accused" had not faced legal action.
Sapkal called for a probe monitored by the Supreme Court to ensure an impartial investigation into the allegations and to establish accountability.
The allegations come amid an ongoing investigation into the handling of donations at the Ram Temple. Authorities have not publicly confirmed the allegations made by the Congress leader, and the investigation remains underway.
