Seven Bangladeshis illegally staying in Hyderabad apprehended, deportation process begins

Business To Business, Hyderabad, 13th June, 2026:    The city police on Saturday said that seven Bangladeshi nationals, including four women, were apprehended for allegedly residing illegally in India, and the process for their deportation has been initiated.
Search Operation Based on Intelligence Inputs
According to police, credible intelligence inputs indicated that some Bangladeshi nationals were staying in a rented house in the Gajularamaram–Jeedimetla area.
Acting on the information, the team led by the Station House Officer of Jeedimetla Police Station conducted a search operation at the premises.
During the operation, police detained:

  • Seven Bangladeshi nationals.
  • Four women among those apprehended.
Preliminary investigations indicated that they were allegedly staying in India without valid authorization.
Following verification of their nationality and immigration status, authorities have begun the necessary legal procedures for deportation in coordination with the relevant agencies.
Police are expected to investigate:
  • How the individuals entered India.
  • The duration of their stay.
  • Whether any forged identity documents were used.
  • Possible local assistance received for accommodation or employment.
Such operations are periodically conducted by law-enforcement agencies across the country to identify foreign nationals residing without valid travel or immigration documents.
The case remains under investigation, and further action will depend on the findings of the verification and deportation proceedings.
