Students are more important than any post: Shah after Dharmendra Pradhan's ext

Business To Business, New Delhi, 26th July, 2026:   Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said the country, its youth and students are far more important than any political position, asserting that the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reflects this principle.
Shah's remarks came shortly after Pradhan stepped down amid mounting pressure over the NEET paper leak controversy and weeks of protests demanding accountability.
In a post on X, the Home Minister said the Modi government respects the sentiments of the country's youth and remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of public examinations.
"The Modi government respects the sentiments of the country's youth and is committed to implementing the necessary reforms against paper leaks," Shah said.
He added that Pradhan's resignation exemplifies the BJP's commitment to placing the interests of the nation, students and young people above individual positions, while reiterating the government's resolve to introduce reforms to prevent examination paper leaks and strengthen the examination system.
