Business To Business, Kolkata, 30th July, 2026: West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is the second least wealthy among the country's chief ministers, with declared assets of Rs 85.87 lakh, according to an analysis of election affidavits released on Thursday by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch.
The analysis is based on the self-sworn election affidavits of 31 chief ministers from states and Union territories.
According to the report, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is the least wealthy, with declared assets of Rs 55.24 lakh.
The report draws its findings from the asset declarations submitted by chief ministers in their election affidavits and does not include any subsequent changes in their financial status.
The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) is a non-governmental organisation that works on electoral and political reforms and regularly analyses the affidavits filed by electoral candidates.
