Business To Business, New Delhi, 05 August, 2026: Sadhvi Ritambhara on Wednesday described the alleged theft of donations and offerings at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as "extremely unfortunate" and called for those responsible to be punished swiftly.
Speaking to reporters, Ritambhara said the allegations had deeply hurt devotees, noting that many people had made significant sacrifices during the movement to build the temple.
Referring to the controversy, she said:
"This is a very unfortunate incident that has shamed us all."
She added that, just as every large society has a small number of individuals whose actions bring disrepute, this was one such incident.
Ritambhara, who was among the prominent leaders associated with the movement for the construction of the Ram temple, urged that the matter be dealt with promptly so that those found guilty are held accountable.
The remarks come amid allegations of theft involving donations and offerings at the Ram Mandir. Authorities are investigating the matter, and the allegations remain subject to the outcome of the inquiry.
