Vijay Amritraj, Mammootty among 65 to get Padma Awards on Tuesday

Business To Business, New Delhi, 20th June, 2026:  Droupadi Murmu will confer the Padma Awards 2026 on 65 distinguished personalities at the second civil investiture ceremony to be held at Ganatantra Mandap in Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday evening.
Among the notable awardees are tennis legend Vijay Amritraj, acclaimed actor Mammootty, celebrated playback singer Alka Yagnik, and Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma.
According to officials, the second investiture ceremony will see the presentation of:

  • 2 Padma Vibhushan awards
  • 7 Padma Bhushan awards
  • 56 Padma Shri awards
The Padma Awards are among India's highest civilian honours and are presented annually to individuals for exceptional contributions in fields such as art, literature, education, sports, medicine, science, public affairs, social work, and civil service.
The ceremony will recognize recipients from diverse backgrounds whose achievements have made a significant impact on Indian society and brought distinction to their respective fields.
