Business To Business, Kolkata, 22nd July, 2026: The West Bengal Cabinet on Wednesday approved an increase of Rs 2 per plate in the allocation for providing eggs as part of breakfast and hot cooked meals for women and children at Anganwadi centres across the state.
The Cabinet also approved the implementation of the 'Mukhya Mantri Swasthya Bima Yojana' for residents who are not covered under the Centre's Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme, according to an official release.
In addition, the Cabinet cleared the establishment of a National Investigation Agency (NIA) station in the state and approved the transfer of land to the Border Security Force (BSF) for border fencing and the construction of outposts along the India-Bangladesh border in Uttar Dinajpur, Nadia, Malda and Murshidabad districts.
