BJP's 'five Brahmastra' helped it breach TMC fortress in West Bengal: Party sources

Business To Business, New Delhi, 5th May, 2026:  The Bharatiya Janata Party’s focus on governance issues—such as alleged “syndicate raj”, corruption, and infiltration—resonated strongly with voters in West Bengal, while the party largely avoided personal attacks on rival leadership, according to party sources on Tuesday.
Sources said Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s “micromanagement” played a key role in the party’s performance, helping the BJP make inroads even in constituencies with significant minority populations.
The BJP secured a landslide victory in the Assembly elections, winning 207 seats in the 294-member House and ending the 15-year rule of the All India Trinamool Congress led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
