CM Naidu woos Singapore businessmen to make Andhra preferred destination

Business To Business, Amaravati, 16th June, 2026:    N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday invited businesses in Singapore to invest in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the state's investor-friendly policies, strong infrastructure, and growth opportunities.
The appeal came during a CII roadshow in Singapore on the second day of Naidu's two-day visit aimed at attracting investment and reviewing collaborations related to Amaravati and other development projects.
According to an official release, the chief minister presented Andhra Pradesh as an attractive investment destination by highlighting:

  • Investor-friendly governance and policies.
  • Availability of land and natural resources.
  • Expanding industrial ecosystem.
  • Strategic coastal location.
  • Modern infrastructure and connectivity.
  • Skilled workforce and business opportunities.
The Singapore visit forms part of Andhra Pradesh's broader efforts to attract foreign investment and strengthen international partnerships.
Naidu is also seeking to deepen cooperation in areas such as:
  • Urban development.
  • Infrastructure.
  • Industrial manufacturing.
  • Logistics and ports.
  • Technology and innovation.
Singapore has historically played a significant role in the planning and development of Amaravati, the proposed capital city of Andhra Pradesh. The visit included reviews of ongoing collaborations and discussions on future opportunities.
The roadshow was held in the run-up to an upcoming investment-focused Partnership Summit scheduled in Visakhapatnam.
The state government hopes that outreach efforts in Singapore will encourage greater participation by international investors and businesses in Andhra Pradesh's industrial, infrastructure, and urban development projects.
The visit underscores the Andhra Pradesh government's strategy of leveraging global partnerships to accelerate economic growth, attract capital, and position the state as a major investment destination in India.
