Business To Business, Bengaluru, 30th May, 2026: D. K. Shivakumar on Saturday reaffirmed his and the Indian National Congress's commitment to serving the people of Karnataka with dedication, integrity, and purpose.
Shivakumar, who also serves as the Karnataka Congress president, is scheduled to assume office as Chief Minister on June 3.
Soon after being elected leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), he met Thaawarchand Gehlot at Lok Bhavan and formally staked claim to form the new government.
The development follows the resignation of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the subsequent selection of Shivakumar as the Congress Legislature Party leader, paving the way for his elevation to the state's top executive post.
In his remarks, Shivakumar emphasized the Congress government's commitment to governance and public service, as the party prepares for a new administration in Karnataka under his leadership.
