Cong leadership's decision on Kerala CM will be acceptable to all: Pilot

Business To Business, New Delhi, 4th May 2026: Sachin Pilot has described the United Democratic Front’s victory in Kerala as “historic,” saying it marks an emphatic mandate that could reshape the state’s political direction.
Speaking after the results, Pilot—who served as a senior observer for the Kerala Assembly elections—emphasized that the decision on the chief minister will be made collectively. He reiterated that the Indian National Congress leadership will consult all stakeholders, including elected MLAs, senior leaders, and alliance partners, before arriving at a consensus.
He added that the final decision will rest with the party’s central leadership, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, and expressed confidence that their choice would be acceptable to all.
Pilot underlined that the scale of the victory gives the alliance an opportunity to provide stable governance and set a new political course in the state.
