Business To Business, New Delhi, 01th August, 2026: The Congress on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, in which two labourers from Chhattisgarh were killed, and demanded the harshest possible punishment for those responsible.
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi described the attack as a cowardly act and expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
In a post on X, Gandhi said, "The cowardly terrorist attack in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the murder of two workers from our country, is extremely tragic. I extend my condolences to the grieving families. Strict action must be taken against the terrorists for this dastardly attack, and they must receive the harshest possible punishment. The nation remains united against terrorism."
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also condemned the attack, calling it "utterly reprehensible and a disgrace to humanity."
The Congress leaders reiterated that the country stands united in its fight against terrorism and urged the authorities to ensure that those behind the attack are brought to justice swiftly.
