CPI(M) demands special session of parliament to discuss Pahalgam terror attack issue

Business Aajkal, HYDERABAD, 14 May 2025: CPI(M) General Secretary M A Baby on Wednesday called for the NDA government to convene a special session of Parliament to address the "unanswered questions" surrounding the Pahalgam terror attack. He emphasized the need to examine whether there were any lapses in ensuring the security of tourists in the region.
Baby, who was in Hyderabad attending CPI(M) Telangana unit meetings, criticized Union Home Minister Amit Shah for asserting earlier in the Parliament that everything was under control in Jammu and Kashmir and that terrorism had been eradicated. He stated, "Now, this gruesome murder has happened (in Pahalgam). Therefore, the Home Ministry owes a clarification to our country," highlighting the need for transparency and accountability regarding the security situation in the region.
