Differences over Kerala CM selection will be resolved smoothly: Cong leader Venugopal

Business To Business, Thiruvananthapuram, 15th May 2026: K C Venugopal on Friday said differences among senior leaders of the Indian National Congress over the selection of the next chief minister of Kerala, including issues involving Ramesh Chennithala, would be resolved smoothly.
Venugopal, who himself had been considered a contender for the chief minister’s post, received a warm welcome from party workers and leaders upon his arrival at the airport.
He said Congress leaders in Kerala were disciplined and committed to abiding by the party’s decisions.
Venugopal added that he had spoken to Chennithala and that the chief minister-designate had also been in contact with him, expressing confidence that all issues would be settled amicably.
The remarks come amid ongoing discussions within the Congress following the party-led alliance’s victory in the Kerala Assembly elections and the selection of the new chief ministerial leadership.
