Business To Business, Kolkata, 29th July, 2026: West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday said that education, healthcare, government employment and industrial growth are the priority sectors of the BJP government in the state.
Addressing a press conference at the state secretariat, Nabanna, Adhikari said the Centre would provide Rs 4,000 crore to Rs 5,000 crore to West Bengal for the education sector during the current financial year.
"Education, health, government job employment and industrial growth are priority sectors for our government in the state," the chief minister said.
He said the financial assistance from the Centre would be used to strengthen the education sector, while reiterating the state government's focus on improving public services, expanding employment opportunities and promoting industrial development.
The announcement underscores the government's emphasis on social infrastructure and economic growth as key areas of policy focus for the current fiscal year.
