Business To Business, New Delhi, 6th May, 2026: Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged that nearly every sixth MP of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha secured their seat through “vote chori” (vote theft), and questioned whether they should be termed “ghuspethiya” in the party’s own parlance.
The Leader of Opposition also claimed that the BJP would struggle to win even 140 seats in the Lok Sabha if elections were conducted fairly.
“Through vote theft, sometimes individual seats are stolen, and at other times an entire government. Of the 240 BJP MPs in the Lok Sabha, roughly every sixth MP secured their seat through vote chori,” Gandhi said in a post in Hindi on X.
