Business To Business, Kolkata, 19th May, 2026: Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday held a high-profile roadshow in Falta on the final day of campaigning ahead of the May 21 repoll, combining attacks on the All India Trinamool Congress with welfare promises and fresh political messaging.
The roadshow took place in South 24 Parganas district and was organised in support of Debanshu Panda of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
During the campaign, Adhikari promised government jobs for one member from each family of BJP workers allegedly killed in post-poll violence following the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections. He also announced that a special package for the constituency would be included in the next state budget.
The chief minister began the programme with prayers and ‘arati’ at a temple amid chants of “Jai Shri Ram” before leading the roadshow in an open-hood vehicle through the constituency.
