Goa BJP brings new slogan with target to win 30 out of 40 seats in 2027 assembly polls

Business To Business, Panaji, 20th June, 2026:  The Bharatiya Janata Party has set an ambitious target of winning at least 30 of the 40 seats in the next Goa Assembly elections, aiming to retain power for a fourth consecutive term.
Speaking at a press conference in Panaji following the BJP's state executive committee meeting on Saturday, Damodar Naik said the party has resolved to contest the upcoming elections with full strength and focus.
The announcement comes shortly after the Shiv Sena, headed by Eknath Shinde, declared its intention to contest the Goa Assembly polls. The Shiv Sena and BJP are allies and currently share power in Maharashtra.
The BJP's goal of securing 30 seats would represent a commanding majority in the 40-member assembly and strengthen its position in the coastal state. Party leaders indicated that organizational expansion, government performance, and grassroots outreach will be key elements of its election strategy.
The Goa Assembly election, expected next year, is likely to witness heightened political activity as various parties prepare to challenge for power in one of India's smallest but politically significant states.
