Japan PM Takaichi to hold talks with Modi on economic security, investment

Business To Business, New Delhi, 30th June, 2026:  Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi will visit India from July 1 to 3, during which she will hold summit-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to advance bilateral cooperation in key areas such as economic security, energy, investment and innovation.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Takaichi will hold a Japan-India Summit Meeting with Modi during her three-day visit.
The ministry said the visit is intended to further strengthen ties with India, which it described as being "of utmost importance for the realisation of a 'Free and Open Indo-Pacific'."
The summit is expected to focus on deepening the India-Japan strategic partnership, with discussions covering economic collaboration, investment, innovation, energy cooperation and regional issues of mutual interest.
