Business To Business, Kolkata, 18th June, 2026: In a politically significant outreach, six TMC legislators known for their loyalty to party supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday met Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and sought the restoration of her previous security personnel while flagging alleged harassment of party workers and hawker evictions.
The meeting, held in the chief minister's chamber on the assembly premises shortly after Governor R N Ravi's address to the House, was attended by TMC legislators Kunal Ghosh, Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, Madan Mitra, Ashok Deb, Rahim Boxi and Rukbanur Rahman.
The interaction assumed significance amid the continuing churn within the opposition TMC following its defeat in the assembly elections and growing complaints from the party over arrests and action against several of its leaders and functionaries.
