Kolkata, New Delhi, INDIA. New York, USA.
Business To Business, Kolkata, 21st June, 2026: Mosaraf Hussen on Sunday announced that he has resigned as president of the minority cell of the All India Trinamool Congress.
Hussen, who represents the Itahar Assembly constituency in Uttar Dinajpur, said he had found it difficult to continue in the position under the prevailing political circumstances.
"I have informed the party of my decision that I will not continue in the post," Hussen said.
While he confirmed his resignation from the organizational post, no detailed explanation was immediately provided regarding the specific circumstances that led to the decision.
The development comes at a time when the Trinamool Congress has been facing a series of political and organizational challenges, including internal dissent and the departure of several leaders and legislators. However, there was no indication from Hussen that he was resigning from the party itself or from his position as an MLA.
The party has not yet officially announced a successor for the post of state minority cell president.
