Business To Business, New Delhi, 24th July, 2026: Kerala BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday said the Narendra Modi-led government was the first in the country to enact a law aimed at preventing question paper leaks in public examinations.
In a Facebook post, the Nemom MLA said the Centre introduced the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 to curb malpractices and strengthen the integrity of recruitment and entrance examinations.
Chandrasekhar also said he was a member of the ministerial committee that drafted the legislation and was therefore familiar with the measures introduced by the Modi government for the benefit of the country's youth since 2014.
His remarks came amid continuing criticism from opposition parties over alleged paper leaks in national-level examinations and demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The BJP has maintained that the government has taken concrete legislative and administrative steps to address examination-related malpractices.
