Notes, shown by MLAs of 'parasite-like BJP' in Jharkhand Assembly, foundation of their existence: CM

Business To Business, Ranchi, 11 August 2026:  Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday accused BJP legislators of using currency notes displayed inside the Assembly for political purposes, saying the money was the "foundation of their existence and their politics."
His remarks came amid continuing student protests over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations in the state.
BJP MLAs had displayed bundles of currency notes inside the Assembly, seeking to link the alleged examination irregularities with a cash-for-jobs scam.
Soren alleged that the opposition had repeatedly disrupted Assembly proceedings despite efforts by the government to ensure that the House functioned.
He further accused the BJP of exploiting the issue politically and alleged that money was being taken from poor people, those in need and young people.
The allegations come as the recruitment-exam controversy continues to fuel political confrontation between the ruling JMM-led government and the BJP, while student groups continue their agitation.
