One-sided 'Mann Ki Baat': Cong slams PM's video message on paper leaks

Business To Business, New Delhi, 24th July, 2026:   The Congress on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make a statement in Parliament on the issue of alleged examination paper leaks, saying the matter should be addressed on the floor of the House rather than through a "one-sided Mann Ki Baat."
The opposition party said the Prime Minister had finally broken his silence on the issue through a video message, but alleged that he failed to address key concerns raised by students and the opposition.
The Congress also claimed that the Prime Minister's remarks did not mention the ongoing student protests or the alleged use of force against demonstrators, which it said reflected a lack of accountability.
Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi criticised Modi for not addressing demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the video message released shortly before midnight.
The Congress has been demanding a discussion in Parliament on the alleged paper leaks, accountability for those responsible, and action by the government to restore confidence in the examination system.
