Business To Business, Hyderabad, 10th May, 2026: Narendra Modi on Sunday said the Centre was making efforts to shield citizens from the adverse effects of the ongoing war situation and urged people to adopt measures that could help the country overcome emerging challenges.
Addressing a rally organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Telangana, Modi suggested several steps for conserving resources and reducing pressure on foreign exchange reserves.
He advised citizens to use petrol and diesel judiciously, prefer metro rail services in cities, adopt carpooling, maximise the use of electric vehicles, utilise railway services for parcel transport and work from home wherever possible.
The prime minister noted that the war had led to a sharp increase in the prices of petrol and fertilisers, making conservation and efficient resource use important for the country.
