Business To Business, New Delhi, 02 January, 2026: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized the BJP's double-engine government in Madhya Pradesh, following the reported deaths of at least 10 individuals due to contaminated water in Indore.
He remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains silent whenever the poor lose their lives. Gandhi claimed that Madhya Pradesh has become a hub of misgovernance, referencing several incidents of fatalities allegedly linked to cough syrups, inadequate sanitation in government hospitals, and now, contaminated water.
"In Indore, it was not water that was distributed, but poison, while the administration remained in a state of deep slumber," he stated in a post on X in Hindi.
