Business To Business, New Delhi, 18th July, 2026: Security has been tightened across the national capital ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's proposed 'Chalo Sansad' march on Monday, with police intensifying round-the-clock surveillance, conducting extensive vehicle checks and deploying additional personnel. The heightened security follows the forcible hospitalisation of activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on a hunger strike.
According to sources, key entry points into New Delhi district have been converted into high-security zones with elaborate barricading, enhanced police pickets and rigorous vehicle inspections to prevent any breach of law and order.
A senior police official said comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place for the proposed Parliament march, which coincides with the opening day of the Monsoon session of Parliament on July 20.
