Pradhan's resignation reflects NDA govt's commitment to students: Kumaraswamy

Business To Business, Bengaluru, 26th July, 2026:    Union Minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday said the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as Union Education Minister reflects the NDA government's unwavering commitment to the aspirations of students and its resolve to address every genuine concern.
In a statement, Kumaraswamy said the government is taking all necessary measures to strengthen the country's examination system and restore confidence among students.
He also urged students to remain focused on their studies and pursue their goals with confidence, assuring them that the government is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent examination process.
Pradhan resigned on Saturday amid the controversy surrounding the alleged NEET paper leak and the nationwide protests that followed. Announcing his decision, he said the issue was not a matter of "individual prestige" and that his priority was to safeguard the interests of students and the nation.
Kumaraswamy said the resignation underscores the NDA government's willingness to take responsibility and act in the interest of students while pursuing reforms to prevent future examination irregularities.
