Prashant Kishor registered as voter in both Bihar, Bengal

Business To Business, Patna, 28 October 2025: Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, became embroiled in a controversy on Tuesday after it was revealed that he is allegedly registered as a voter in both his home state of Bihar and in West Bengal.

Official records show that Kishor is enrolled as a voter in West Bengal at 121, Kalighat Road, which is the address of the Trinamool Congress headquarters in Kolkata’s Bhabanipur assembly constituency—an area currently represented by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Additionally, his polling station is listed as St. Helen School on B Ranishankari Lane. This dual registration has raised questions about electoral practices and eligibility.
