Business To Business, New Delhi, 30th July, 2026: Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon on Thursday welcomed the launch of the new 'Easy Connect' air service from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, Amritsar, saying it will provide greater convenience to passengers from Punjab and the global NRI community.
Air India launched the service on Tuesday under its Hub and Spoke model, making Amritsar the second airport after Varanasi to be included in the initiative.
The Hub and Spoke model aims to position India as a global aviation hub by providing seamless connectivity between Tier-II and Tier-III cities and international destinations through major hub airports.
Dhillon said the initiative would significantly benefit thousands of travellers from Punjab, particularly members of the large non-resident Indian (NRI) community, by improving access to international flights and reducing travel hassles.
The new service is part of Air India's broader strategy to strengthen domestic and international connectivity through an integrated hub-based network.
