Business To Business, New Delhi, 25th June, 2026: Rahul Gandhi has filed an application before the Madhya Pradesh High Court expressing regret over an allegedly defamatory statement concerning Kartikeya Singh, according to court filings.
The matter stems from a defamation complaint filed by Kartikeya Singh in a Bhopal court against Gandhi, who is also a Congress MP.
In the application submitted through his lawyer on Wednesday, Gandhi stated that the remark in question was not related to Kartikeya Singh and conveyed regret over the controversy arising from the statement.
Kartikeya Singh is the son of Union Minister and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The application forms part of the ongoing legal proceedings in the case, which is being heard by the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The court is expected to consider Gandhi's submission while dealing with the matter.
The case highlights the continuing legal and political disputes involving statements made during public speeches and political campaigns.
