Rahul meets 5 Punjab Cong leaders, gives message of unity
Business To Business, New Delhi, 21st June, 2026: Rahul Gandhi on Sunday met five senior leaders of the Indian National Congress from Punjab and urged them to fight the upcoming Assembly elections collectively, expressing confidence about the party's prospects in the state.
The meeting took place at the residence of Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath in New Delhi.
Among those who attended were:

- Pratap Singh Bajwa
- Charanjit Singh Channi
- Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa
- Vijay Inder Singla
According to party sources, Rahul Gandhi emphasized the importance of unity and collective leadership as the Congress prepares for the Punjab Assembly elections, which are due early next year.
He reportedly told the leaders that the party has a "very good chance" of performing strongly in the state, provided it remains united and focused on the electoral campaign.
The meeting comes amid speculation about possible organizational changes within the Punjab Congress unit. However, Gandhi's message was said to be centered on strengthening coordination among senior leaders and ensuring that internal differences do not affect the party's election preparations.
Punjab is expected to be a key electoral battleground in the coming year, with Congress aiming to regain power in the state.
