Rising expenses due to lower fuel efficiency, citizens air E20 concerns at AAP town hall

Business To Business, New Delhi, 01th August, 2026:   Concerns over higher operating costs, reduced fuel efficiency, and vehicle compatibility dominated a town hall on E20 fuel organised by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in New Delhi on Saturday.
The event, held at the Constitution Club, began with a street play performed by students featuring satirical sketches inspired by 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and other characters to highlight issues associated with the use of E20 fuel.
AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who attended the programme, called for consumers to be given the choice between regular petrol and E20 fuel at petrol pumps.
Addressing the gathering, the former Delhi chief minister argued that motorists should be free to decide which fuel best suits their vehicles, citing concerns raised by participants over fuel economy, increased expenses and uncertainty regarding compatibility with existing vehicles.
The town hall provided a platform for citizens to voice their views on the rollout of E20 fuel, with participants urging policymakers to consider consumer concerns before making higher ethanol-blended fuel the standard option.
